Creating Motley
As part of Qbic’s rebrand, it became clear that the hotel’s bar and restaurant needed its own distinct identity. Unlike the hotel rooms designed for overnight guests, this shared space was meant for everyone—locals and traveler’s alike—to eat, drink, work, and connect. The goal was to create a brand that captured this inclusive and lively atmosphere.
Our Approach
Through multiple rounds of naming, debate, and design exploration, MOTLEY was born—a playful, free-spirited brand that complemented Qbic while standing on its own.
The Outcome
MOTLEY became a vibrant and inviting space, attracting both locals and guests. The bold identity set it apart from traditional hotel bars, establishing it as a destination in its own right while maintaining a strong connection to the Qbic ethos.

Working with UP Hotel Agency, we created a stand alone Motley presence that sat within the Qbic website
