Qbic Hotels

Prior to Covid19 Qbic Hotels was a revolutionary new concept in the hospitality market.

The Brief

After the success of its first London hotel, Qbic needed a brand that could support its ambitious European expansion. The goal was to develop an identity that reflected its vision, values, and alternative approach to design while strengthening its eco credentials and loyal guest following.

Our Approach

We had already developed Qbic’s experience and identity to a point where it had serious eco credentials, a dedicated army of guests and an alternative approach to design. Distil lead the project, bringing in and collaborating with Ragged Edge and Up Agency. Together we developed a comprehensive brand strategy, refining Qbic’s architecture, visual and verbal identity, and guest experience. The focus was on creating a distinctive and scalable brand that could drive meaningful change as Qbic grew.

The Outcome

The result was a bold, cohesive brand that resonated with both new and returning guests. By aligning design, sustainability, and guest experience, Qbic cemented its position as a forward-thinking, eco-conscious hotel brand ready for expansion.

The Qbic graphic system is inspired by the hotel’s physical layout, and the coming together of different people and ideas. Made up of playful blobs and textures, a colourful, adaptable and characterful brand. Eccentric yet attractive.

Welcome Character

We built a strategic platform that could live in every part of the experience, internally and externally. An idea that took Qbic’s desire to do good, and amplified it into something bigger and more emotional. So while budget hotels treat guests like room numbers, Qbic welcomes character.
