During the re-brand of Qbic, it was decided that the bar & restaurant needed its own identity.
And while the rooms were for overnight guests, the shared space was for everyone. So it needed its own distinct character. A place for locals and guests to come together to eat, drink, work or play.
Multiple rounds of naming, debate and design brought us to MOTLEY. It felt playful and reflected our free-spirited character of a parent brand.
Logo, toolkit and webpages were created and rolled out.
A CHARACTER FILLED SPACE AT THE CENTRE OF EVERY QBIC HOTEL
Working with Ragged Edge we adapted the graphic elements from the Qbic brand, and created a logo and brand frame that could be applied in a variety of ways.
Working with UP Hotel Agency, we created a stand alone Motley presence that sat within the Qbic website
In order to add another layer of character to the area, we commissioned local illustrator Sophie Ward to produce a series of 24 illustrations inspired by a previous set of events we co-created called QbicSessions.
Every Session was filmed, so each illustration is inspired from moments within the films. You can watch the films here
